Maddie Bailiff, Junior writer

Maddie Bailiff is a junior and in her third year of journalism.  Outside of journalism, she is involved in speech. She enjoys writing, being with family, and spending time with friends. Her favorite part of journalism is taking pictures and writing stories.

Eighth grader Klay Merryweather finishes his third cupcake in the cupcake eating contest. This is Merryweather’s second year doing the cupcake eating contest. “My favorite part is definitely eating the cupcakes,” Merryweather said.

During the powderpuff football game, junior Allison Kirchmann tries to pull the flag off senior Gabi Tederman while seniors Alexis and Aubrie Pehrson try to protect her. The juniors beat the seniors in the game with a score of 12-0.  “It was just a fun time to bond with our grade and playing was fun, even though it didn't go how we wanted it to,” Tederman said. “It was just a friendly little competition.”

Sophomore Halle Arlt laughs with her Journalism classmates. Hawaiian day was one of the more popular dress up days and 80 percent of the school dressed up. “My favorite dress-up day was Hawaiian day because it's more of an easy dress up day and you can really notice when people participate,” Arlt said.
